Christmas is a time when we should be telling our children that we love them unconditionally because God loves us unconditionally. We should be giving presents to our children because are their parents and we love them.
Instead, we tell our children that a stranger (Santa CLaus) will give them presents if they are good.Apart from being a lie, it is a complete perversion of the message of Christmas, that God gave his only son that we might have abundant life, not because we deserve it, but because God loves us.
